DMF is an independent music agency based in Exeter that provides artist management and agent services for a range of artists, including festival darlings the Levellers, Mercury-nominated folk musician Seth Lakeman, John Peel favourites Dreadzone and many more. DMF is also events promoters and festival organisers – organising, amongst others, the famed Devon-based Levellers festival ‘Beautiful Days’ – one of the most talked about events on the UK festival scene.
DMF has been Sound in Theory’s office neighbour since we moved into our Gandy Street building a few years ago. After seeing the level of work that we produce, DMF therefore knew where to go when they wanted their website updated.
Although their existing website did reflect their status as artist managers, promoters and festival organisers, the website was too old-fashioned to signify that DMF, and their artists, have proper contemporary appeal. DMF therefore wanted a website that helped them to appear more cutting-edge and relevant.
Sound in Theory created a very modern and minimal design to achieve this. DMF had a wealth of large, high-quality images of the artists that they manage and festivals they curate, yet minimal content. On each page of the easy-to-navigate website, a clear, exciting image therefore forms the centrepiece of the page.
