Sound in Theory redesigned and redeveloped Moretonhampstead.com – the official website for the Devon town of Moretonhampstead. The website serves a vital role in keeping its visitors – including Moretonhampstead residents and potential visitors to the town – informed about a range of town life and business, including events, weather and local services. We therefore ensured the new design has a logical, organised structure, to keep it user-friendly. To bring freshness, vibrancy and simplicity to the site, our redesign utilises the official Devon branding (www.devonbrand.co.uk) and is peppered with striking images that Sound in Theory’s photography service captured. It was clear from the outset that the client did not have a large budget, but did have a wealth of time and person-power to dedicate to the site. Sound in Theory developed advance content management system (CMS) tools that put the power of updating the site into their hands – allowing them to produce a quality site with time, not money. As the whole town community would add to and update the website, we implemented advance security measures into the content management system, to spread the authoring of the website’s content, without risking the site’s security.
